I can't believe it's already Thanksgiving week. This year is going by way too quick and that baby of mine is growing way too fast. Since Thanksgiving will be here before we know it, I wanted to show you all an easy centerpiece idea that would be so pretty on any Thanksgiving Day table. I am a big fan of simple crafts and this one is just that.
- Pumpkin. I used a medium sized pumpkin but you could use a larger one for a bigger display.
- Thumb Tacks. I used around 100 tacks per pumpkin.
- Floral tape or regular scotch tape. I forgot to purchase floral tape so I ended up using the regular kind and it worked out just fine.
- Solo cup
Use the solo cup to trace a hole at the top of the pumpkin. This will insure that the opening will be just big enough for the cup to nestle inside.
Using the natural lines on the pumpkin as your guide, push in tacks all the way from the opening down to the base. Then fill the solo cup with water and place it in the pumpkin.
Arrange your flowers in your hand and get them configured how you want them. Then tape the stems together and cut off the excess stems. You may need to use the solo cup to get the correct height for the stems.
Step 6 (optional)
Pour yourself a glass of wine, sit back and admire your craftiness.
I hope y'all have an awesome Thanksgiving!
