Cruising With A Baby - Part II

One of the reasons we chose this cruise was because of the ports of call. The boat docked in the Bahamas, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. I felt more comfortable with going to those places because we had been before and I felt much safer there than some of the other Caribbean destinations we had been to. And also because we had been on this boat and it is just so amazing it doesn't even feel real.

Our first stop was the Bahamas and I really wanted to take Boston to the Atlantis. The property is gorgeous, they have a private beach, tons of pools, and an aquarium for when we wanted to get out of the sun. It was a perfect excursion with a baby. Another plus was we got there pretty early in the morning so we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves.

That evening was formal night so we got all dressed up for a nice dinner. Boston finally got to wear one of the outfits my best friend bought him before he was born and he was totally a celebrity on the boat. Everyone loved the bow tie and couldn't resist pinching his chubby feet. But just as we got downstairs and sat down to enjoy a pre-dinner drink, B grabbed my glass and pulled it off the table and all over my lap. I am not used to him being in this grabby stage but I quickly learned my lesson and went back to the room to blow-dry my dress just in time for dinner. When vacationing with a baby you just have to go with the flow.

The next day was our first full day at sea which are always my favorite. I feel like they give you an excuse to relax because even though the ship has a ton of actives I never feel like I "have" to do anything. When I am at a destination I feel guilty for not getting out and experiencing everything.

So we ate, played, napped, and ate some more.

And then we got dressed up for another amazing dinner. I was so excited to finally be able to wear this dress now that I'm done nursing and don't need to wear a nursing bra. ;P One of the bright sides of not nursing I guess.

Up next… Part III. I guess we had way too much fun to fit into just a couple posts.

XOXO,
Summer Ann

    1. Girl you have to try a cruise at least once! Some people hate them but most people I know that have been on one fall in love with them.

We did get lucky with Boston. He is a really great baby! He has his moments when he can be difficult but overall we've got it pretty good!

The dress is from Forever 21! I got it this past summer so they may still have it online.
