Hey y'all! Welcome to our first ever home tour, Christmas style. When we built our house almost 6 years ago I really loved beige, brown and gold. Basically our entire house was beige. Beige walls. Beige carpet. Beige couch. So boring. But I have always been so scared of color and thought that was the way to go. I hated it from day one so slowly I have been changing out our decor and I seem to always go for the grey and white color combo. It is still neutral but I like it so much better and I think it feels so clean and crisp.
Since our home decor has evolved over the past few years, I wanted to rework some of the decorations we already had because the brown and gold weren't really working for me anymore. And since I am cheap I decided I would repaint some of our existing decorations so we didn't have to buy all new stuff. It took a while to decorate this year but a can of spray paint is way cheaper than a whole new set of ornaments which made it totally worth it in my book.
This frame gets used for just about every holiday or party I throw. It is so easy to change up but looks so cute no matter how it is used. You can see other ways I have put this to good use here. I swear it was probably the best $15 I have spent.
This candle smells so amazing! It smells like men's cologne which I am obsessed with. I love the cologne smell so much that honestly I wish I could wear it instead of perfume. It is called Cozy Nights and you can find it, along with the mini white tree, at a Target store. I couldn't find them online.
We bought this tree from Garden Ridge 4 years ago but it got a makeover this year with some paint, mod podge and artificial snow. You can see the DIY video here. And the sweater tree skirt came from Hobby Lobby during their 50% off sale. Love that place.
I love this sweater ornament that Target had. I think it adds some cozy to the tree and ties in the sweater tree skirt.
My favorite ornament on the tree. :)
These fur stockings can be found in store at Target as well. They look just like the ones I fell in love with from Restoration Hardware but they were a little cheaper so I got them instead.
And we had to decorate Boston's room too. It was always a tradition in our house growing up that we have a small tree in our bedrooms so of course we had to get Boston his own tree to carry that on. We got the nutcracker ornaments this year when we went to the ballet and some of the others were given to him at our annual ornament exchange on Thanksgiving. And some of our favorite Christmas books are on deck.
I hope y'all enjoyed the tour! Now hop on over to some of these other fabulous ladies' blogs and see the adorable ways they have decorated their homes for the holidays!
