Weekend Wrap-Up: Easter

I don't think I am ever ready for a weekend to end but I think it especially hard when you are spoiled with an extra day off. We spent the day Friday and Saturday enjoying the awesome weather while we shopped at a market, drove around looking for homesites, and brunched on patios. It was my favorite kind of weekend.
And I was so pumped that my new lens came for my camera Saturday afternoon that I think I spent most of the rest of the weekend snapping pics of my little squirmy model. I have had this camera for almost 5 years and I had tried to repair the broken lens myself (I can be such a cheapskate sometimes). Well I ended up destroying it and never purchased a new one until the other day and man it's crazy how much better the pics are. I am having too much fun.
Too bad the gorgeous weather didn't stick around for Easter but we had just as good of a time playing indoors and enjoying the company of family. We had so much fun that we totally forgot to do the big egg hunt at this Grandma's house but we made up for it at our next stop.
He loves his great grandma and grandma so much. He lights up every time he sees great grandma and it is the sweetest thing. They have a bond like no other.
He loves sharing with them too.
My little monkey loves hanging upside down.
Once we made it to his other grandma's house we setup some eggs for him to hunt.
And we were all shocked that he literally crawled around the living room and found every egg!
Off he goes! This little booger is so stinkin' fast these days. It makes snapping a decent pic really hard. I think I had to delete a bagillion photos I got of the back of his head. ;D
We had to get a pic to document Boston's first Bunny Cake. We have made this every year since I can remember but B was more interested in sticking his hand straight in the cake instead of the picture. I don't think we will have any issues with his smash cake for his birthday. (And apparently D needs some lessons on focusing the camera. ;P)
We had such a fun filled day and we made it home too late to give Boston his Easter basket from us. Oh well. I guess this would be the year we could get away with it without consequence. And lucky for him he gets Easter goodies for 2 days! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend celebrating with your loved ones. We sure did!!

XOXO,
Summer Ann

    1. Thank you! I was proud of that one haha! It is so much easier getting good pics from stationary objects. ;P I bought a 35mm lens for my Nikon D5000. I love it! I read so many reviews saying it was a great lens for low light and squirmy kids.

    1. Thank you! A few of those are from an iPhone 6 but the majority are from my Nikon D5000. I got it a few years ago but I am just now really getting into learning how to use it. I also purchased a 35mm lens for everyday shots of Boston since it is supposed to be great for low-light and kids that are on the move.
